Darcie is a proud midwestern girl, born and raised in Kansas City, MO, but now living it up in New York City chasing her dreams. 

​

Raised in a home filled with the sounds of numerous, diverse genres of music (she was named after the Smashing Pumpkins' bassist, D'Arcy Wretzky), Darcie discovered the stage at a young age and immediately found her passion. She became immersed in singing, dancing, and acting, and participated in various community and professional theatre productions throughout her youth in Kansas City.

Darcie’s passions led her to New York City to study at NYU Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway where she continued to hone her skills as a storyteller and performer - earning her BFA in 2025.

​

Her storytelling is not limited to the stage, as Darcie is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter - winning her first songwriting competition in the fifth grade. Since then, she has released a self-produced EP and album of her original music where she played all instruments and sang harmonies and lead vocals herself.

​

When not on stage, you will find Darcie grabbing an iced-coffee (usually from Maman), dropping in on a dance class, noodling on her ukulele, rocking out to Paramore (I love you Hayley Williams!), reading a good book, resisting the temptation to buy another Jellycat, or watching the Twilight series for the twelve-millionth time.
